Horatio parked his Hummer and jumped out, practically running in the front entrance of the hospital. He spotted Mac talking to a doctor, and walked up to join them. “Mac, how is he?”

Mac turned around a slight smile on his face. “Horatio, don’t worry, he’s fine. He broke his leg.” Mac explained, trying to calm his friend down.

“How did that happened?” Horatio asked, a little shocked.

“Come with me, I’ll show you to his room. Don was with him, he’ll explain what happened.” They walked down the hallway, and Mac opened a door. “Look who I found.”

“Horatio, how are you?” Don asked shaking his hand. He saw Horatio looking at the young man in the hospital bed. “He’s sleeping; they gave him something for the pain.”

Horatio walked up to the bed, stroking the blond’s cheek. “What happened?” he asked turning to face Don.

“We were chasing a suspect down an alley when Danny slipped and broke his leg.” Don explained.

Horatio turned back to face his sleeping lover, smiling slightly. “What is it with him and trouble?”

“It always finds him.” Mac said, laughing.

Danny stirred awake. “Hey.” Horatio smiled.

“Hey.” Danny blinked a few times, trying to get everything into focus.

“How are you feeling?” Horatio asked.

“Stupid.” Danny sighed and mumbled something under his breath.

“What did you say?” Don asked.

“A banana peel. Can you believe it? I slipped on a fucking banana peel.”

They all started to laugh. “What?” Danny growled.

Horatio kissed him on his forehead and smiled. “Only you Danny, only you.”
